Rescue 79mm FRN Black Spyder is a light rescue folder - a compact version of the Rescue 93mm knife. Blade - with a Sheeepfoot profile, 3 mm thickness, made of Japanese VG-10 stainless steel (high resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage) hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. The blade ended with a blunt oval tip, which protects the rescued person against injuries. An enlarged 14mm round cutout SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) has increased the thumb support (ramp), which places the thumb directly above the hole, allowing the knife to be opened quickly in the glove. Pleated thumb ramp on the back of the blade and Finger Choil, profiled notched undercutting finger between the handle and the cutting edge make it easier to work with a knife. Solid Back-Lock with additional protection against accidental release of the blade lock (notch in the blockade) designed by David Boye.
Spyder Edge - (Spyderco patent) the serrated blade has a concave cut (Hollow Grind), enables efficient cuts with considerable force. Spyder blade consists alternately of one large and two small teeth called „two-step”. This pattern increases the cutting edge length by up to 24% compared to the straight edge. Handle - in black color. Made of plastic FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), glass fiber reinforced nylon, bi-directional non-slip texture (Bi-Directional Texturing) provides an excellent gloved handle as well as greasy or moist hands. A solid screw-on metal clip (left / right) allows you to carry the knife in the tip-up position (tip up). In the back of the grip was placed a gap (lanyard hole) to pull a leash or a rope.
