All blades of MAM Filmam knives are made of high-quality AISI 420 stainless steel from German Thyssen-Krupp steel mills which is treated and hardened as for VG-10 steel, thus achieving the use of the maximum capabilities of 420 steel. Additions of molybdenum, vanadium, silicon and carbon make the steel hardenable up to 57 HRC, and provide strength, toughness, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and holding the sharpness of the cutting edge after hardening. Special machines are used for machining, regularly tested by the company's technicians

Blade Lock - MAM is the only company in the world producing folding knives with wooden handle and security lock at one point and is patented by the company. Extremely intuitive and safe, it is hardened with the same hardness 57 HRC as the blade, fully protects against accidental closure. When the knife is opening, seems to be clicking and is automatically locked, you do not have to look at the knife to block the blade, you just hear it.

Blade - about Drop Point profile, 1.8 mm thickness. Made of high quality German (ThyssenKrupp) AISI 420 stainless steel. Smoot blade (Plain type) was made with a full flat cut (full flat grind), which combined with a slight thickness of the blade provides above-average cutting properties. Blockade: Blade Lock type. Knife opened with an incision on the blade, called: nail nick.

Handle - simple, made of one piece of brown-lacquered, durable, light beech wood, reinforced from the side of the blade with a steel ring (inox). The profiled grip does not cause fatigue even during long-term use. On one of the sides of the handle, the manufacturer's logo is burned. Thanks to the fourfold impregnation process, the cladding of the handle is resistant to moisture and water, both sweet and sea salt.
