MAC Coltellerie Skipper Red Marine Knife 65mm (MC SKR.R)

SKIPPER RED, a Bosun's knife with a shackler by the Italian company MAC Coltellerie. It fits even in large hands. Solid locking of the main blade. Number of tools (3) and functions (5).

Blades - additional functions:

• main blade 65 mm long with saw and wire bender, blade blockade: Back-Lock type
• shackle (nautical key) for loosening / tightening shackles

Blade - about 2.5 mm thickness. Made of stainless steel 1.4116 with high corrosion resistance. Used in the production of knives having long-term contact with water or moisture. Blade hardened in the 55-56 HRC range. Serrated blade was made with full flat cut (Full Flat Grind). The saw blade consists of one large and three small teeth, called „three-step”. This pattern increases the cutting edge length by up to 24% compared to a straight blade. Ideal for cutting hard materials, plastic and fiber ropes - enables effective cutting with considerable force. Solid blade blockade: Back-Lock type.

Handle - red and black colors. Covered with non-slip and textured claddings with rubber-like properties, made of thermoplastic elastomer also called TPE thermoplastic rubber (guarantees a secure grip in an aqueous environment), combined with a PP polymer. The ergonomic shape of the lining prevents the hand from slipping during work. In the back of the handle, a gap for the rope.
