292410 double-sided synthetic flat stone for sharpening by Herbertz Solingen. Website brown medium grain (Medium gradations 600, pre-sharpening, roughing), side white fine-grained (Fine with gradation 1200, final polishing, finishing). Designed for sharpening knives, cleavers, machetes, scissors and small tools. For use with water or oil. Dimensions 100 x 50 mm.
Usage:
1. Before use, dip the stone in water for about 15 min. or use oil for sharpening (use only one of the methods for each sharpener).
2. Place the sharpener on a flat surface.
3. Hold the knife at an angle 15°-30° in relation to stone. Important! When sharpening, maintain a constant angle.
4. Move the knife forward and backward at one pace pressing it lightly.
5. Use the entire surface of the stone when sharpening.
6. The stone during sharpening should be kept moist at all times.
7. When burrs appear during sharpening, change to the other side - drag the blade over the stone to smooth the burrs.
8. Finally, clean the edge of the blade and the stone carefully.
