Baby Core is a compact everyday carry knife designed by Jesper Voxnaes and made from the finest materials. The modified drop point blade is made of Böhler M390 steel, one of the best tool steels in the world today. Opens with a flipper, so it can be easily used by left and right handed people. We can also use a hole in the blade. Ball bearings are responsible for smooth operation of the mechanism. Small thickness of blade in conjunction with full flat grind gives us cutting properties almost on the level of a razor. The blade was finished with acid stonewash method. The blade is locked with a proven and popular liner lock.
M390 Microclean® - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of "wire" during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Handle is smooth, stonewash finished titanium liners screwed to titanium backspacer which means practical indestructibility of such construction. Deep carry clip, two-position (left/right) made in well known from Spyderco knives light form of formed wire (wireclip), allows to carry knife in tip-up position. Above the clip there is a lanyard hole for safety or decorative rope.
