150,58 €Böker Plus Kwaiken OTF Black, an automatic OTF (Out The Front) knife with a front extension head thanks to a strong spring. It works in D/A (Double Action) mode which means you can slide the blade in and out. Designed by renowned American knifemaker Lucas Burnley, whose designs combine clean, modern lines with tactical roots - a style Lucas describes as post-tactical.
The designer paid special attention to the design of the spring, opening the blade is done in a few hundredths of a second. When opening / closing the blade, the automatic makes a characteristic sound (click). In this model, the moment of force during unfolding/folding of the blade pleasantly jerks the hand, which shows what power is hidden in the springs of Böker Plus knives.
D2 - high carbon tool steel. With a high content of 10-13% chromium, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and resistance to abrasion.
Blade - Straight Back type finished with Stonewash method. Plain blade with high Flat Grind for excellent cutting properties. Mechanism of extending / retracting the blade by means of a moled slider requiring for safety reasons to apply a specific force to overcome the spring resistance. The way of opening ensures trouble-free opening for both right- and left-handed people.
Handle - made of aluminum alloy coated in black. Thanks to the texture of the coating the knife does not slip in your hand during use. Slim design allows you to hide the knife in any pocket. One-position clip (right side), allows you to carry the knife in tip-down position.
