Elmax SuperClean - considered the "best all-around knife steel" a modern alloy steel with a high content of 17.30% (Cr), carbon 1.70% (C), vanadium 3.00% (V), molybdenum 1.00% (Mo), silicon 0.80% (Si). Hardened in the range of 57-62 HRC. Produced by powder metallurgy method of mixing finely powdered materials, pressing to the desired shape, and then heating to sinter or bind the material. It is characterized by extreme edge holding, high wear and corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability. Manufactured at Böhler-Uddeholm steel mills in Austria.
Blade - one-sided sharpened, with Spear Point profile, coated with black anti-reflective Top Shield® coating. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind) gives an excellent cutting edge profile and extreme cutting and piercing performance. The double-sided guard protects the hand from slipping on the blade while working.
Handle - covered with G10 plastic facings (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin). Openwork design, low thickness of the linings, so the knife is extremely light and flat, still offering a secure grip. In the back there is a hole for a safety or decorative cord.
Sheath - when designing the knife for professional use, great emphasis was placed on ease of carrying and retrieval. The kydex holster offers the option of attaching with the Ulti Clip to a belt or the edge of a pocket. You can also use the holes on the edges of the sheath, whether to attach the knife with a paracord or wear it around the neck.
