Ostap Hel - a talented Polish knifemaker and designer. His designs are based on the fundamentals of geometry, smooth transitions and the concept of "golden proportion". He is not afraid to experiment with new shapes and ideas to suit the unique style and production capabilities of the company he designs for.
D2 - a high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade - Drop point blade, finished with a scratch-masking Stonewashed finish. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The blade's slight thickness, combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind), results in excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. To make it easier to control the blade, a section of the blade's back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest.
Handle - facings made of Canvas Micarta, a composite of pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin. Screwed directly to the tango with screws. Simple, solid construction guarantees many years of use. In the back of the handle a hidden place for threading a belaying or decorative cord.
Sheath - made of kydex which, thanks to a belt holder mounted to it with screws, can be carried vertically or horizontally.
