Full-tang, with a modified drop-point blade of D2 tool steel. Handle made of micarta, sheath made of kydex. A knife for bushcraft, survival enthusiasts.
High Speed D2 - high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high 13.0% chromium (Cr) content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade - Modified Drop Point type finished with an elegant Satin finish. Precision ground blade offers a balance between edge holding and chipping resistance. Plain blade with clearly marked belly and flat full grind (Full Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife during precision work.
Handle - molded Micarta coverings, a virtually indestructible plastic that is insensitive to weather, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges and surface texturing improves grip confidence. The grip covers are attached to the shank with sturdy through rivets, which reduce weight and serve to pull the safety line through and, in an emergency, allow the knife to be affixed to a pole to create an improvised spear. Fore Finger Groove, a deep cut under the finger prevents the hand from accidentally slipping on the blade.
Sheath - made of kydex plastic. Allows quick retrieval of the knife and protects it from falling out and moisture. The holster is equipped with a multi-position handle that allows you to carry on your belt or on your equipment.
