- Lil' Native Slipit Black G10, Satin Plain, a compact version of Native's flagship knife, is one of the best EDCs. Lightweight with an injection-molded handle. Blade made of CPM S30V powder steel with carbon, chromium, vanadium. Made in USA.
Lil' Native Slipit Black G10, Satin Plain, the iconic Native knife has been Spyderco's flagship product for decades, one of the best EDCs. Now this advanced, extremely popular ultralight folder has been made in a 15% smaller version. Manufactured at Spyderco's factory in the USA (Golden, Colorado).
CPM S30V - one of the best knife steels, corrosion-resistant, mechanical stress-resistant American CPM S30V martensitic powder steel with added carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC. Developed by Dick Barber of Crucible Industries in collaboration with knife maker Chris Reeve to offer the best combination of strength, abrasion and corrosion resistance. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries according to the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process. The CPM process yields a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The alloy contains 1.45% carbon (C) and a significant admixture of vanadium carbides 4.0% (V) and chromium 10.5% (Cr). Thanks to its properties, it holds sharpness for a very long time and provides high corrosion resistance.
Slipit - "no lock" non-locking mechanism used in folders in which the wedge is held in the open position by spring pressure on a flat section at the back of the blade shank during use. The Slipit holds the blade in both the folded and unfolded positions. When folded, it generates a smooth resistance as in a knife equipped with a traditional locking mechanism.
Blade - with Leaf-Shaped profile (leaf shape) provides a long, gently curved cutting edge. The Plain blade is derived with a weight-reducing Full Flat Grind (Full Flat Grind). Enlarged 14mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) to open the knife. High quality (made in USA) Slipit mechanism protects the blade from accidental opening or closing. Upper Jimping, (a notched thumb rest on the back of the blade, and Index Finger Choil (a notched profiled undercut for the index finger between the Handle and the cutting edge), make the knife easier to operate.
Handle - profiled, covered with non-slip textured grips made of durable, heat- and cold-resistant, chemical-resistant G-10 plastic. Handle, despite its compact size, provides full grip and excellent control, with four fingers as in full-size folders. Metal hourglass clip with four-way (up/down, right/left) 4-way clip positions. In the rear part an enlarged hole (lanyard hole) for the cord.
