The blade of the “Gnome” is made of solid 41Cr4 steel, carefully selected and hand-forged by our master craftsmen. As a result, the blade is extremely hard for efficient wood chopping, yet flexible to prevent splintering and breaking on impact. The surface of the head is not fully sanded, which leaves raw forging marks, giving the axe an authentic traditional character.
The handle of the “Gnome” is made of selected hickory wood, known for its strength and lightness. This makes the axe comfortable to use even during prolonged work. The length of the handle has been carefully selected to ensure optimal control of the tool, which translates into precision and cutting efficiency. The ergonomic shape of the handle guarantees a secure grip, even in difficult weather conditions.
