- Steeltle Gray Titanium, Darkblasted handy EDC folder designed by Bartłomiej Kotowski from Kot Knives. Blade made of Böhler M390 steel, ergonomic titanium handle. Can be opened with a pin in the handle, frame lock. An excellent everyday tool!

Steeltle Gray Titanium, Darkblasted is a premium folder designed by Polish knife maker Bartłomiej Kotowski from Kot Knives. The blade is made of high-quality Böhler M390 steel, which offers unparalleled corrosion resistance and long-lasting sharpness. The ergonomic 6AL4V titanium handle has been precisely shaped to guarantee a secure grip in any situation. The matte texture of the titanium ensures excellent control, and the minimalist design increases durability. The pin in the handle allows for the blade to be opened instantly for both right- and left-handed users, while the frame lock stabilizes the blade, eliminating the risk of accidental closure. Every detail has been carefully refined, making this model a reliable tool for everyday tasks. Steeltle is a combination of precision, durability and modern functionality in a compact form.
Kubey - an independent brand and one of the largest manufacturers of high-quality knives at a great price! The company's motto is “An Edge Above the Rest”. Thanks to the use of high-speed CNC machine tools, milling machines, laser cutting and custom manual finishing, the brand focuses on high-quality workmanship and an innovative approach to design. Kubey is legendary for the durability and functionality of its cutting tools, which will last for years!
M390 - martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced using powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it is characterized by extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it retains its edge shape, keeping the blade sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is its resistance to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) and an admixture of 1.9% carbon (C), 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Vacuum & Cryogenic - CPM 20CV steel undergoes a specialized heat treatment process involving two key stages. Vacuum Heat Treatment: the steel is hardened in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the strength and structural integrity of the steel. Cryogenic Treatment: After heating, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -100°C (-148°F). This transformation converts residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, CPM 20CV steel provides exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and extraordinary blade durability.
Blade - Sheepsfoot type, finished with a beadblasted finish to hide minor scratches caused during use, then coated with a gray coating. The gently curved cutting edge converges towards the tip of the blade. The thickness of the blade in combination with the high, flat grind results in an excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth and easy operation and support the opening of the blade with the pin in the handle. To maintain full control over the blade, there is upper jimping, a ridged thumb rest on the back of the blade. The whole is locked with a proven and popular frame lock with a steel inlay protecting the lock face from wear.
Handle - grips made of titanium 6AL4V, a material with extremely high mechanical strength and virtually complete resistance to weather conditions and chemicals. The whole is bolted to a solid backspacer, also made of titanium 6AL4V. The simple, solid construction ensures many years of use. The forefinger groove improves grip and creates a mini guard to prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. The pivot axis is adorned with the manufacturer's stylized logo. The single-position (right) titanium deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket in a tip-up position (with the tip of the blade up).
