Blade - 3 mm thick with Drop Point profile, provides excellent cutting-edge geometry with low drag. The blade is made of sharp holding 8Cr13MoV stainless steel (equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel). Plain type blade is Hollow Grind for excellent cutting performance and weight savings.Glare eliminating Sand Blasted finish. Thumb Stud on both sides of the blade allows you to open the knife even when your hands are slippery or cold. This allows both left- and right-handed people to use the knife. Fluted thumb rests: spine jimping and finger choil jimping, index finger notch on the lock.
8Cr13MoV - easy to sharpen stainless knife steel, equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel. High content of 13.0% chromium and average 0.8% carbon provide excellent corrosion resistance. The presence of 1.0% silicon, 0.3% molybdenum increase the steel strength and wear resistance. 8Cr13MoV is characterized by high hardness in the range of 57-62 HRC.
Handle - left side, profiled liner made of gray aluminum. The right side is made of stainless steel forming at the same time the base of the Frame-Lock mechanism with jimped liner. The liners are attached to each other with spacers creating an Open Spacer design which ensures the strength of the construction. A solid, double-sided cutout in the handle provides intuitive right/left hand access to the pins as well as the head lock release. Metal clip (right side) allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. At the back of the handle, one of the spacer sleeves creates a place to pull a lanyard or safety line.
