- Karambit Titanium / Carbon Fiber, Bead Blasted ELMAX folder from FOX shows how traditional karambit knives originating in Asia have evolved. Hawkbill blade in ELMAX steel, three quick release systems Emerson hook, flipper and oval cutout

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
Karambit Titanium / Carbon Fiber, Bead Blasted ELMAX folder from FOX shows how traditional karambit knives originating in Asia have evolved. Hawkbill blade in ELMAX steel, three quick release systems Emerson hook, flipper and oval cutout
Karambit - a type of knife that originated in Indonesia, with roots in Malaysia and the Philippines. It is characterized by a finger ring and sickle shape blade, which is characterized by great cutting efficiency - imitates the way an eagle claw or tiger claw tears. Used as a work knife and for defense.
Emerson Opener (Emerson Wave) Ernest Emerson's patented hook on the back of the blade allows for quick opening of the blade when removing the knife from a pocket by hooking the hook over the edge of the pocket.
Steel
ELMAX - the highest quality modern powder tool steel of the third generation. It is characterized by high carbon and chromium content and, thanks to the metallurgical process, exceptionally fine grain structure and uniform carbide distribution. It provides extreme edge retention, high wear and corrosion resistance. Manufactured in Böhler-Uddeholm, Austria.
Blade
Aggressive Hawkbill type, rounded blade shape has great cutting efficiency and speed. Plain blade with ultra thin tip and strongly curved edge, finished with anti-reflective Bead Blasted method. The oval cutout in the blade increases the thumb support hump, ramp (Thumb jimping) for better control and multiple grip options. The entire blade is locked with a thick titanium Frame Lock leaf at the end of which a steel insert is attached to prevent the lock face from rubbing off.
Handle
Asymmetrical, on one side deeply textured carbon fiber cover, on the other the same Carbon Fiber and a piece of solid titanium being the basis of the lock. The facings are screwed to the backspacer made of a single piece of titanium and finished with an enlarged polished head, the Back Ring. It makes it easier to rotate the folder around the finger, allowing you to perform traditional techniques. Two-position titanium clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position.
Carrying case
Folder is packaged in a zippered soft elegant pouch with the manufacturer's logo for safe carrying / storage of the knife.
