14C28N - martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in a range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price/quality category!

Vacuum & Cryogenic - 14C28N steel has undergone a specialized heat treatment process involving two key steps. Vacuum Heat Treatment - the steel is quenched in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the strength and structural integrity of the steel. Cryogenic Treatment Once heated, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -148°F (-100°C). This transformation transforms residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, 14C28N steel delivers exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and outstanding blade durability.

Blade - a straight, utilitarian blade with a Straight Back profile, finished to mask minor scratches from use using the Stonewashed method and then coated with a black coating. The unusually long cutting edge converges towards the tip of the blade. The thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind, results in excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth and smooth operation of the mechanism and support the opening of the blade with a notch in the wedge (Nail Nick). The locking mechanism is a secure and reliable Lockback.

Handle - grips made of G10 composite, a material that is extremely mechanically durable and virtually completely resistant to weather and chemicals, textured for improved grip confidence, bolted to the knife's steel frame. The massive backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. The simple, solid construction gives the assurance of many years of use. The pivot axis is decorated with a stylized manufacturer's logo. A two-position (right/left) metal deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up). Under the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
