14C28N - a martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. Vacuum & Cryogenic - 14C28N steel has undergone a specialized heat treatment process involving two key steps. Vacuum Heat Treatment - the steel is quenched in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the strength and structural integrity of the steel. Cryogenic Treatment Once heated, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -148°F (-100°C). This transformation transforms residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, 14C28N steel delivers exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and outstanding blade durability.

The pivot features the manufacturer’s stylized logo. A single-position (right-hand) metal deep-carry pocket clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly in a pocket in a tip-up orientation (blade tip pointing upward).
