M390MK - thanks to a collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech was created. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel for better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Ram-Lok (Crossbar Lock) - a crossbar that moves horizontally in longitudinal cutouts in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the back of the blade from above, preventing its return movement. This beam is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking is done by pulling back the locking bar, the ends of which are accessible through cutouts in the liners on the sides of the handle. In the closed position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the rear of the head, preventing it from opening on its own. Advantages of the Ram-Lok lock include resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both right and left hands, and lightweight operation.

Head - machine ground Sheepfoot type , one-sided sharpened S/E (Single Edge). Finished masking minor scratches formed during use by Stonewashed method . It can be opened with the help of a hole in the blade (thumb hole), so it can be easily used by right- and left-handed people . The blade is derived with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), giving excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. In order to maintain full control of the blade on the back of the wedge was made upper jimping, notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a convenient Ram-Lok lock .

Handle - made with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines from durable titanium, for better grip covered with a characteristic texture imitating the surface of a fragmentation grenade(Frag Pattern). Wide locking slide with Microtech's characteristic stepped X structure . Both facings are bolted together with a solid titanium backspacer. A double-sided (right/left) clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly in tip-up position. Above the clip a lanyard hole, a place for a safety or decorative cord.
