- Maniago Knife Makers is a consortium of companies coming from the famous "knife basin" of Maniago, Italy. In collaboration with the best knifemakers, they create excellent knives with the best materials.
Isonzo Clip Point Grey FRN, Stone Washed by Jesper Voxnaes. Compact and lightweight everyday carry knife made of very good materials.
M390 - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of "wire" during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - clip point made of Bohler N690Co stainless steel, which holds sharpness well and is very easy to sharpen. Opens with a hole in the blade, so it can be used by left and right-handed people without any problems. The small thickness of the blade in combination with the high, flat grind gives us cutting properties almost on the level of a razor. On the back of the blade there is a small jimping (notched part) on which you can comfortably rest your thumb. The blade was finished with stonewash method. The entire blade is locked with a proven and popular liner lock.
Handle - made of grey FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), a very light and durable material. It was screwed to an orange, aluminium backspacer in the shape of a carabiner. This makes it easier to carry the knife on the equipment or backpack straps. To improve grip, the handle has been deeply textured. A two-position (right/left) deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position. To reduce weight, it is made of steel wire (wire clip). Includes torx key in sizes 6 and 8.
MKM, or Maniago Knife Makers, is a consortium representing knife makers. It is based in Maniago itself, about 70 miles from Venice, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region (Italy). Founded in 1960, the consortium brings together manufacturers of knives, scissors and similar products and has been promoting local craftsmanship for almost 60 years. The MKM brand, already used in the past, has been refreshed and relaunched to offer new collections, created through partnerships with local knife makers. MKM is committed to cutting-edge technology and first-rate creativity, without forgetting more than 500 years of tradition.
