Steel

D2 - high carbon tool steel. With its high 10-13% chromium content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and resistance to abrasion.

Blade

Modern tanto type, with reinforced tip, finished with scratch masking Sandblasted method. Long cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converges geometric belly towards needle sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, chisel grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the blade ejector mechanism. Flipper flipper when opened creates a mini-guard to prevent slipping of the hand on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. Deep choil makes the knife easier to grip for precision work. Liner-lock mechanism.

Handle

Black G10 (compression-molded fiberglass with synthetic resin) textured handle is bolted to the steel frame for better grip. The open-backed design secured together by steel spacers reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. Simple, robust design gives assurance of many years of use. Deep, contoured fore finger groove improves grip security. The pivot is embellished with a stylized Kubey Knife brand logo. The single-position (right-handed) metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in the tip-up (blade tip up) position.
