M390 - a martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) durability of the blade surface is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.
Blade - harpoon type, coated with black DLC coating. The long cutting edge, converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the wide blade. Thethickness of the blade and grain provide high strength. A mixed grind is used here, in the rear part is a concave grind for cutting and precision work, the so-called Hollow Ground Primary Bevel. In the front part, we have a high Flat Ground tip reinforcement grind . We can open the knife using a front flipper or an elongated hole in the blade (Thumb Hole). The whole is locked with a modern Frame Lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle - made of titanium 6AL4V also coated with DLC, beautifully milled with the help of CNC machine tools . The whole is bolted to an amazingly milled backspacer, also made of titanium. The pivot axis is decorated with a stylized screw. A fore finger groove improves grip security. A single-position (right) deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up). It is decorated with an imprint of a dinosaur paw.
