Police 4 Sprint Run™ Burgundy FRN, TiCN Micro-Melt PD#1, a limited edition of one of Spyderco's most famous EDC folding knives, the Police model. Featuring state-of-the-art Carpenter® Technology's Micro-Melt PD#1 steel, this iconic folder takes another quantum leap, combining the refined features of the fourth-generation Police model with the benefits of lightweight, injection-molded grips in the elite burgundy color reserved for knives with Carpenter® Technology's Micro-Melt PD#1 steel blade . Distinguishing features of the Police 4 - wide blade derived from a full flat grind; steel liners ; extremely durable Back-Lock mechanism ; four-plane clip attachment. Folder is designed to conceal in the slim Handle the longest possible Blade with high cutting power and compact size when folded.

Carpenter® Technology' sMicro-Melt PD#1 is a weather-resistant cold-formed die steel specifically formulated to provide both superior wear resistance and strength. The advanced alloy composition is further enhanced by the CarTech® Micro-Melt process, which provides a very fine, extremely uniform grain structure. Functionally equivalent to CPM® CRU-WEAR®.

Blade - Clip Point provides excellent low-friction cutting edge geometry, coated with a black non-reflective titanium carbide (TiCN) coating. The Spyder blade is derived with a Full Flat Grind to reduce weight and improve cutting properties. The enlarged 14mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened even with a glove. Notched section of the Blade's back, ramp (jimping / crosshatching) positions the thumb and gives solid support. An arched undercut for the index finger between the Handle and the cutting edge of the finger choil jimping facilitates efficient operation of the folder. Extremely durable Back-Lock Blade locking mechanism .

Handle -bi-directional textured non-slip grips (Bi-Directional Texturing) and notched notches on the backs of the handle (Spine Jimping) strengthen the grip. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), afiberglass-reinforced nylonplastic. Skeletonized solid stainless steel inlays and a solid steel spacer along with the sheaths provide great strength with the knife's light weight. Sturdy metal screw-on hourglass clip with 4-way (up/down, right/left) 4-way clip positions. Lanyard hole for pulling a safety cord.
