Swordfish is one of those folders, sturdy with excellent action and excellent ergonomics. Stand out!
14C28N - Martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills . An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price/quality category!
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) - the resistance of the surface of the wedge and cutting edge has been increased by a vacuum deposition method used to deposit thin films by condensing an evaporated form of the desired material onto the surface of the workpiece. The coating method involves a purely physical process such as high-temperature vacuum evaporation followed by condensation. The applied coating has a very high hardness which significantly increases the resistance of the blade to rust and abrasive wear.
Blade - Clip Point type , coated with black PVD coating. The backbone extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the slender blade, converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength whilethe high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearings support the opening of the blade with a quick index-finger flipper (flipper) when opened acting as a stag. A section of the blade's back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular liner lock.
Handle - the grips in the form of a black bolster and purple rest of the handle made of G10 composite, a virtually indestructible material, insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges and textured surfaces improve grip security. The backspacer also made of G10, to which the grips are attached, guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. A single-position, right-handed clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position , with the tip of the blade upward. Above the clip a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
