LionSteel ROK Orange Aluminum, Black M390 by Molletta (ROK A OB)
- ROK Orange Aluminum, Mil Spec folder by LionSteel with Solid technology. An extraordinary tool equipped with smart, practical features. Testament to advanced know-how in knife manufacturing. Winner of Manufacturing Quality award from Blade Show magazine

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
ROK Orange Aluminum, Black unique folder from Italian manufactory LionSteel with a Handle manufactured with Solid® technology is proof of the high technological development used in the production of knives. An extraordinary tool with intelligent and useful features, thanks to which it gained recognition at the Blade Show by winning the Manufacturing Quality Award.
Michele “Molletta” Pensato, an Italian knife designer with a passion for archaeology, has turned his love of adventure into the high-end craft of knife design. His career began with an archaeological dig, where he realized the need for a durable knife. Known for his innovative approach to materials and experiments with heat treatment, Pensato has won numerous awards. His designs for lionSTEEL, such as the popular T5 and the award-winning SR11, are distinguished by their practicality and typically Italian rounded shapes. Knife design, although just a hobby for him, has resulted in significant contributions to the lionSTEEL collection.
NFC lionSTEEL - technology that the manufacturer has included. After installing the smartphone app, you can view product information, activate the warranty, contact customer service and get information on other LionSteel products.
M390 Microclean® - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - Drop Point type, 4.5 mm thick with a clearly marked blade belly, provides excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The Plain blade was derived with a Flat Grind and coated with a black Mil-Spec coating. On the back of the upper jimping wedge , a notched thumb rest.
ReF - (Removable Flipper System) located on the underside of the blade protrusion / flipper fin assisted by Double Crown makes it easy to open the blade with one hand. It consists of a small lever (protrusion) that extends beyond the back of the Handle when the Blade is closed. In the open position, the protrusion acts as a stinger, protecting the hand from slipping on the blade. In the folder, it is possible to unscrew the Removable Flipper System lever(unscrew the flipper fin, then insert the second screw included in the box) and open the blade with both hands. This is important in countries where there is a ban on one-handed opening blade knives in public places.
IKBS - (Ball bearing system) allows fast, smooth opening of the blade.
Solid Frame-Lock - a reinforced, monolithic Ergal aluminum blade lock . One of the grips acts as the locking mechanism.
RotoLock - lock with a patented additional locking mechanism in the shape of a titanium shield by Gianni Pauletta. When the knife is open, turning the RotoLock about 1/8 of a turn clockwise wedges the locking mechanism, preventing unintentional release of the blade lock, provides stability of the blade identical to knives with a fixed blade.
Handle - in fashionable orange color. Made of a single block of Ergal aluminum machined in accordance with Solid® Knife technology . Using CNC machine tools, a lightweight monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength was obtained, which is a solid structural element. Grips with non-slip texture for better grip.
H.WAYL - (Hide What Annoys You Lionsteel) hidden right-side clip that allows youto carry the knife in tip-up position (tip up). The clip is ejected only with the push of a button. A solution appreciated during long-term use of the knife, when the classic protruding clip can interfere with work.
