M390MK - thanks to the cooperation of Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel has been created, made only for Microtech. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to more thorough control, improving the properties of M390 steel to ensure better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. A martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced using powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it is characterized by extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it keeps its edge well, which means that the blade stays sharp for a very long time (minimal maintenance required). Another advantage is that it is resistant to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) and an admixture of 1.95% carbon (C), 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Ram-Lock (Crossbar Lock) - a horizontal crossbar that moves in longitudinal slots in the steel side plates of the handle skeleton. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the back of the blade from above, preventing it from moving back. This bar is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking is done by pulling back the locking bar, the ends of which are accessible through the notches in the Handle grips on the sides. In the closed position, the bar presses on the cam surface at the back of the blade, preventing it from opening by itself. Advantages of the Ram-Lock: resistant to dirt, practically insensitive to dynamic loads, easy to use with either the right or left hand, and light to operate.

Blade - machine-ground sheepfoot, single-edged S/E (single edge). Finished with an impressive Apocalyptic patina. Opens with a thumb hole, making it easy to use for right- and left-handed people. The blade has a high flat grind, which gives it excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. To maintain full control over the blade, upper jimping, a ribbed thumb rest, has been applied to the back of the blade. The whole is locked with a convenient Ram-Lock.

Handle - made of durable polymer, covered with Tri-Grip texture for better grip, decorated with a stylized USA flag. Wide locking slider with Microtech's signature X-pattern texture. Both grips are bolted together with a solid aluminum backspacer. The ambidextrous (right/left) clip allows for discreet tip-up carry. Lanyard hole above the clip for a security or decorative cord.
