M390MK - thanks to a collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech was created. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel to provide better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened to 59-61 HRC. Ram-Lock (Crossbar Lock) - a crossbar that moves horizontally in longitudinal cutouts in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the back of the blade from above, preventing its return movement. This beam is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking is done by pulling back the locking bar, the ends of which are accessible through cutouts in the grips on the sides of the Handle grips. In the locked position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the rear of the blade, preventing it from opening on its own. Advantages of the Ram-Lock include resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both right and left hands, and lightweight operation.

Blade - machine ground Sheepfoot type , single sided S/E (Single Edge) sharpened. Finished impressively with the Two Tone method , the Blade is black-coated, the rest of the blade is satin-finished. It can be opened with the help of a hole in the blade (thumb hole), so it can be easily used by right- and left-handed people . The blade is derived with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), giving excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance.
